Course Overview

The objective of the course is to show the relationship between the School Effectiveness Framework and the new Estyn Common Inspection Framework. It will also outline how schools need to be thinking and working to answer the requirements of these frameworks. The implications of the new pattern of inspection will be divided to explain the obligations for all levels of responsibility across the school: Senior Management members, Subject Leaders, members with pastoral responsibility, members with specific responsibilities and classroom practitioners.

There will also be sessions focussing on data dissection in preparation for the self evaluation report and guidelines on writing the report. The term Sector Leading Practice will be under discussion and how these practices are defined.
