Open Courses

Our open courses are updated constantly and are amended in accordance to the delegates attending on the day. This ensures that each participant gains the relevant knowledge and that the quality of the course is at its utmost as well as ensuring a cost effective provision for the school. Where possible we produce materials with the specific needs of the delegates in mind. When booking on to our courses, we send a confirmation e mail and ask questions to probe for the exact information required from the day. This ensures that we provide extremely relevant training and present ideas to suit each educational establishment present on our courses.

INSET Training

We offer all the courses listed on our website as INSET provisions but have now included further provisions to our INSET menu due to additional training providers joining our existing consultants. Please see the titles below:

• Pupil Well being / Listening to the Learners
• Staff well being: good management of staff and identifying and addressing issues effectively
• Emotional Literacy

Our core aims for all are INSET provisions are:

• To deliver highly effective strategies and innovative ideas taken from examples of sector leading practice from within the UK and internationally.
• Develop our training in accordance to your school development plan and ask each school to give us a brief summary of where the school is currently positioned regarding the issue in question
• That all our trainers have relevant experience of the area and are currently undertaking work within that field as part of their employment

Prices do not include travel or accommodation costs which are agreed prior to booking training (Please note we always keep these costs to a minimum). The cost of photocopying course materials is dependant on the number of staff and is by agreement with the school.

*Please Note – An additional cost of £30 per person applies to our Agored Cymru ‘Engaging and Motivating Young People in Education and Training’ Course only.  The £30 is for Accreditation, External Verification and Agroed Cymru Certification. The additional £30 cost per person DOES NOT apply to any other Portal Training Course.
