This course is ideal for all professionals working within English medium educational establishments throughout Wales including Primary, Secondary schools, F.E. Colleges and Work Based Learning Providers.

Course Overview

This unique course offers practical advice and materials regarding the implementation and promotion of Bilingualism within English Medium Schools in accordance with the new Common Inspection Framework 2010. It also looks at the importance of the Welsh Dimension within the school curriculum as well as how to plan, monitor and evaluate the current situation.

The Welsh language and the Welsh Dimension are now central to all aspects of education throughout Wales.  As a result, all education providers will benefit from attending this training in order to ensure their provision incorporates promotes and embeds the Welsh Language and Welsh culture within their educational establishments. The new Inspection Framework supports the importance of ensuring all learners and staff have access to bilingual resources and are exposed to the Welsh language and culture at every opportunity.
