In her role as Policy and Grants Manager at Mudiad Meithrin, Angharad found that managing both small and large projects had become an increasingly important part of her day-to-day responsibilities. While she was already keeping projects organised and progressing, she recognised the need to align her approaches and develop a stronger understanding of the theory behind effective project management.
Enrolling on the Agored Cymru Level 4 Diploma in Project Management gave Angharad the opportunity to step back and view her working practices more objectively.
The course helped her strengthen her approach to planning, particularly around project timelines and managing complexity, while also providing a clear framework she could apply consistently across different projects. A key benefit for Angharad was the opportunity to discuss her learning with a knowledgeable assessor. This support enabled her to approach more challenging elements of project management with confidence and to reflect critically on how she planned and delivered projects within her organisation.
Reflecting on the impact of the qualification, Angharad shared:
“The skills and knowledge I developed through studying have given me much greater confidence when taking on and managing more complex projects at work.”
Since completing the qualification, Angharad has reported a significant increase in confidence when managing more complex projects. Her awareness of what needs to be planned in advance has improved, and the additional time spent on planning has delivered clear benefits when implementing new initiatives. The qualification has not only enhanced her individual capability, but has also strengthened project delivery within her wider role at Mudiad Meithrin.
Portal’s Level 4 Diploma in Project Management is accredited by Agored Cymru and is designed for individuals aspiring to excel in various project management roles.
