
Robert completed the Level 4 Diploma in Project Management while working in an education setting, where he held responsibility for IT, facilities and infrastructure and supported the delivery of several projects.
Although he had practical experience of working on projects, he wanted to develop a deeper understanding of project management and how to apply best practice in the workplace.

Although he had practical experience of working on projects, he wanted to develop a deeper understanding of project management and how to apply best practice in the workplace.
Through the qualification, Robert gained a greater appreciation of how projects should be planned, managed and reviewed. The learning helped him formalise his existing experience and develop stronger, more structured approaches to project delivery.
He described the programme as “Rewarding, challenging and empowering.”
Since completing the qualification, Robert has moved into a new role as an Electrical Engineer within Professional Construction Services at Pembrokeshire County Council. He is now actively applying the skills and knowledge gained through the programme across a range of projects. The qualification has strengthened his confidence and enabled him to contribute more effectively, supporting successful project delivery within a complex, technical environment.
Reflecting on his experience, Robert highlighted how the programme pushed him to grow professionally and left him with stronger project management skills that continue to support his career progression.
